Find partners for UK – Switzerland Bilateral: Collaborative R&D 2024

This website is a virtual marketplace to search and profile project opportunities as well as facilitate partner-matching for the UK – Switzerland Bilateral: Collaborative R&D call.

Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, will work with the Innosuisse to invest up to £4 million and 3 million CHF in innovation projects.

The aim of this competition is to support UK-Swiss international business-led innovation collaboration. Through grant funding Innovate UK will support UK businesses to collaborate with Swiss counterparts (funded by Innosuisse) for their mutual global growth prospects. Innosuisse on the other hand will support Swiss businesses and research institutes to collaborate with UK counterparts. Your proposal must contribute to the development of commercial products, processes or technical services.

The project must have an obvious advantage and added value resulting from the cooperation between the participants, from the two jurisdictions. These advantages can include:

increased innovation capability
commercial leads
access to R&D infrastructure
new fields of application

This call is open only to UK and Swiss collaborators and encourages innovation in, but not limited to, the following technologies:

Life sciences
AI
Semiconductor applications
Quantum

Your project’s total grant funding request must not exceed £450,000 for UK participants or CHF450,000 for Swiss participants.

Find the right project partner

The search for project partners is supported and organised in Switzerland by Enterprise Europe Network EEN, and in the UK by Innovate UK EDGE. You can find suitable partners through this website by setting up a profile and describe your project idea in the market place item. You can meet other participants on this website until 15 April 2024.

All partner searches will be managed by your EEN Switzerland and Innovate UK EDGE contacts. Partners are encouraged to register their needs on the platform as early as possible to increase the chances of building a consortium.
